Apprenticeships for Learners
Maybe you’re finishing school or college, or perhaps you’re already in the world of work and looking to develop your career and further your skills and knowledge. Either way, our apprenticeships will set you on the road to success.
Apprentices split their time between university study and the workplace and you are employed throughout – gaining a qualification which could be a full bachelor’s or master’s degree while earning a wage and getting real on-the-job experience in their chosen profession.
We work closely with employers to create bespoke, relevant education programme and provide award-winning teaching. We offer a variety of higher and degree apprenticeships across different sectors including leadership and Management, health and social care, engineering, data and digital.
As an apprentice, you'll learn and earn full-time with a salary. Tuition fees are paid for by the sponsoring employer through the apprenticeship levy.
Why Herts?
Our approach to apprenticeship study is flexible and we’ve adapted our teaching approaches to ensure there is variation, including face-to-face learning on campus, work-based projects and independent study. Assessments may include a mix of coursework, presentations, exams and practicals. Your employer will allow (up to 6 hours) of your time to be dedicated to off-the-job training and learning every calendar month. The delivery pattern of teaching could be day-release or block delivery depending on the programme of study.
We're dedicated to supporting all students at Herts. With the challenges of balancing work and study, our robust support services are here to help, ensuring every student gets the assistance they need to thrive.
